PROJECT MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR VANUATU ADMINISTRATOR'S

The Project Management Training took place last week brought together Area Administrators from three provinces — SANMA, SHEFA, and TAFEA — to participate in this training.

The training was conducted by the University of the South Pacific (USP), following the main objective from the Department of Local Authorities, which requested the training to equip Area Administrators with knowledge in project management.

Area Administrators, who work closely with government and NGO projects, need to understand what a project is, how to develop a project, and also how to manage a project effectively.

The knowledge gained from this training will greatly support them in working with communities through the various projects taking place across the country.

At the same time, some agencies from the Ministry of Internal Affairs also took part in the training, including the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning – Vanuatu, the Department of Local Authorities, and the Corporate Services Team under the Ministry.
