It will have several functions, such as serving as the center for government and administrative services, acting as a center for evacuation during cyclones, and creating jobs and chances to strengthen the local economy.

Director General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mr. Lieth Veremaito attended the official opening of this facility on today with the Director of Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) representing the Australian High Commission together with other government representative in Sanma Provincial Council.

Mr. Veremaito stated, "Our dedication to decentralization and bringing the government closer to the people is exemplified by the West-Coast Area Council headquarters.

Additionally, it symbolizes the power of skill development at the community level, resilience, and a solid alliance between all parties."

The collaboration between the community and the governments of Vanuatu and Australia showed a shared dedication to using indigenous knowledge to create robust local governance systems.

Additionally, by bringing necessary government services closer to the public, this milestone will promote greater inclusivity and accessibility.

The Vanuatu government's objective to achieve decentralization and better service delivery for remote communities has advanced significantly with the construction of this facility.
