MOIA Celebrates Achievements at Public Service Day 2025 in Tanna

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MOIA) proudly joined the 2025 Public Service Day celebrations held at Lamenu Stadium, Tanna, with a strong display of services and achievements that reflect its commitment to serving the people of Vanuatu.
Awards and Recognition
During the event, MOIA received three major awards:
  • 🏅 1st Prize – Best Booth Display
  • 🏅 3rd Prize – Organizational Award
  • 🏅 Special Award – Flood Parade
These achievements highlight the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism of staff across all departments of the Ministry.
Decentralizing Services to the Communities
As part of its ongoing efforts to bring services closer to the people, MOIA officially handed over a National ID Card printer machine to the Southeast Area Council in Tanna. This important step supports the Government’s decentralization policy and ensures that communities in Tanna can access identity services more easily.
Services Delivered at the Booth
Throughout the celebration, MOIA officers actively served the public at the Ministry’s booth, providing essential services and achieving remarkable results:
  • Civil Registration & Identity Management (CRIM):
    • 469 National ID cards printed
    • 60 birth certificates registered
    • 1 marriage certificate registered
  • Visa & Immigration Services (VIS):
    • 67 passport applications enrolled
    • 48 passport booklets dispatched
    • VT 1,330,000 in revenue collected
Other departments also shared information on labor and employment services, electoral processes, urban planning, and community development programs.
Commitment to Service
These achievements reflect MOIA’s strong commitment to delivering services that are accessible, reliable, and responsive to the needs of the people. By recognizing the efforts of its staff and decentralizing services, the Ministry continues to build trust, resilience, and stronger communities across Vanuatu.
Together, we serve the people of Vanuatu with pride and purpose.
